Open Question: Why does my computer screen flicker black?
I'm running Windows XP 32 bit on an hp pavillion 533w with an old GeForce 5400 GS PCI video card. I've update all software and made sure cables were plugged in properly, yet my screen flickers black for a short second or two. I'm running a second tube monitor, an old E-Monitor, which also has a tendency to flicker black every now and again as the prior, sometimes consecutively before stopping. It's very distracting when typing up a paper and insane to deal with when playing online.
I've checked for viruses and i'm protected. Is it the old monitors? Bad software or hardware?
