Open Question: Something is wrong with my computer?



   My computer is bogged down(something is running and i can't figure out what). I know this because the little circle near my cursor has been running non-stop. Since it started, my computer is quite a bit slower. I have looked at my task manager and I can find no program running that isn't out of the ordinary. I have updated virus ware, and have even ran a complete scan in safe mode. I haven't hooked up any new hardware recently. I have no idea how to fix this other than what i have tried. Does someone have any suggestions? 10 pts will be awarded. Thx
Okay...my computer gets defragmented once a week. I ran a registry scan with registry mechanic and had some errors. Those are now fixed. I cleaned all temp files, etc. Got rid of all software that I was aware that I didn't need. Made sure everything was up to date. It is still happening and seems to be even worse. I am now going to try reginout and see how that goes..anything else would be appreciated.
Ive used reginout and it found more errors. These are now fixed also. My computer is working a bit better now, but the little circle is STILL on my cursor, so I have no idea what that is about...

Open Question: Why cant i play online games?



   i have tried turning firewall off, but when i try to play online games, i cant connect to other people hosting servers and they cant connect to me. i have tried Call of duty one, quake 4, quake live and winquake along with some other games i don't remember. but its is a recurring problem, i do have all min reqs, and i can play on local computers, but if its not local i cant play it.

i am running OpenDNS
and im not sure if this could effect this or not.

Open Question: Can A Cable Box USB Port Transmit Viruses?



   Is it possible for a virus leak to be transmitted from a Cable Box USB Port you may find in front or back of any box have the slightest compatibility of such to transmit such a virus to any place around the globe, just to say, probably not even possible. But I have heard of these hardware such as USB Flash Drives leached with a virus if plugged into any such device such as a computer be uploaded into the drive and causing serious complications, blue screens, error messages, shutting down automatically and stealing documents off the computer (Etc). Well what would your response be if a experienced hacker, a virus writer, have this type of potential if someone were to find a leak for something of such to happen?

Open Question: Can your computer freeze do the wireless adapter not working properly and can this cause more problems?



   Okay so my computer has been freezing randomly for about a week, it first started to freeze while surfing the internet, it wouldn't allow me to press Ctrl+alt+delete so I had to shut it down when I restarted the computer the wireless wasn't working, I thought there was something wrong with my internet provider so i just turned it off. The next day the same thing happened and since it only froze while on the internet i thought it was something wrong with the internet but then the freezing just kept on happening more and more randomly and it even happened while it was starting or as soon as it finish turning on.The wireless was still not working and I decided to just plug the cable to it to see if it worked and it did so I knew it wasn't the internet now it shows the there is no wireless adapter installed or that it failed to install properly, I tried everything like updating the adapter, uninstalling and reinstalling I also checked the BIOS to see if it was off on there but it wasn't, finally made it work by pressing fn+f2 but it was temporarily and it went back to not working now it says no wireless networks found. I also found a virus that is gone now and I also got a the blue screen with a error message: ( this has only happened once)

Open Question: how do i get everything back in mw2?



   I joined a ground war server in mw2 on my PC today and a little while after the loading screen came up the game disconnected, only it didnt say could not connect to host, it said some file didnt match (something like that). After that i noticed i was level 1 no prestige with all my titles and emblems gone and all my barracks stats reset. I was level 56 on my 2nd prestige, and i had a lot of titles, emblems, and a few nice camos. Is there any way to get my profile back to the way it was?
